We present here photogrammetric techniques and results for shallow water bathymetry from multi-stereo imagery acquired from DigitalGlobe’s WorldView satellites. The technique is based on Multi-Image Geopositioning, assisted with ray refraction and tracing through the air-water interface. The software utilizes the Community Sensor Model (CSM), which maps image to ground coordinates and vice-versa, and extends the photogrammetric techniques to the ocean floor. Currently, we use commercially the stereo bathymetry to validate satellite bathymetry obtained with other, traditional means, in areas where no ground truth exists, and future plans include an autonomous stereo bathymetric product.
